1Kosmos CRO, Kevin Brown, and CMO, Michael Cichon, introduce the passwordless identity package by 1Kosmos.
Michael Cichon:
All right. Good morning. Kevin Brown, 1Kosmos’ chief revenue officer. How are you?
Kevin Brown:
Very good, Michael. Thanks for having me.
Michael Cichon:
Absolutely. Welcome to our vlog. I want to talk to you about our Passwordless Identity Package. This is something we announced just a few days ago. I know it’s something near and dear to your heart. Can you tell us about it?
Kevin Brown:
Yeah. It’s a package that we put together, that allows or helps the CISOs or the identity leaders in corporations to take their first step towards passwordless. They’re not arguing or they’re not disagreeing that they have to take the first step, they just don’t know where and how and when to take it.
Michael Cichon:
Got it. Got it. So how does it do this?
Kevin Brown:
So we put together six points. All right. And the six attributes are, first of all, we packaged it together where we include all the design, all the deployment, and all the licenses for that one year in one easy consumable price. All right. We will then deploy it one week, that’s all it takes, one week to deploy. And in that deployment, we’re going to set up the QR code, the passwordless, alongside the username password area that there’s a normal sign on, the normal credentials. And we’re going to let the user adoption be natural and let them… There’s no pushing. We’re going to have them use passwordless whenever they feel comfortable with that. Right? We’re also going to give them a little flexibility on the licensing. We have 1,000 users is going to be the base. If they choose to do more, if they choose to do less, if they choose to do it within two weeks instead of a full year, that’s their call.
Kevin Brown:
It’s the flexibility of the licenses. If you go over, we’re not going to stop you. We’re not going to contain that 1,000 users. We’ll let you expand as much as possible. We’re also going to allow you to choose two targets. So what gives you the biggest bang for the buck? Give us the hardest ones. Give us the ones that have the biggest voice and the biggest pain and the highest visibility, we’ll solve there. And a key piece of this is the last thing that we add to the package is a biometric active directory password reset. There’s always going to be that one application that we all forget about. It’s maybe the HR, the 401k, whatever, you have to sign in every six months and you forget about it. Guess what? Sign in, or use the biometrics, reset the password, use the password, forget about it again for another six months. That’ll get you going and avoid that risk, that first year.
Michael Cichon:
So this is interesting because it’s changing the conversation in a way. It’s not, “Should we do passwordless?” It’s like, “Just do it.” Is it?
Kevin Brown:
Yeah.
Michael Cichon:
Because there’s a lot of, what, fear, uncertainty and doubt out there? Is that what’s going on?
Kevin Brown:
The fear. Obviously, we did that to ourselves, the confusion of what passwordless is and everybody having passwordless. But the anxiety and the risk of introducing something new, it’s tough for leaders.
Michael Cichon:
Got it. Now, you said, or did you say, but I know, that we can do this for 1,000 users in seven days. Really?
Kevin Brown:
You know what? I’ve seen it in… Well, the last three days of that week is going to be quality testing and documentation. So can I get it done in a couple of days? Yes.
Michael Cichon:
That’s amazing. It’s amazing. So who’s doing this?
Kevin Brown:
There’s a couple of groups that we have seen a lot of, small business that want to test it and they can expand real quick. We have people, larger customers that use it as a pilot. Right? We just have other customers that are jumping into passwordless, and that first year is their way to work on adoption. Right? They’re buying 1,000 users. I have customers that have up to maybe 15,000 users on that with no extra costs for the first year.
Kevin Brown:
Let the adoption and let the risk be handled, and we’ll take that on.
Michael Cichon:
That’s interesting. Kevin, and also, I would think it gets companies out of this theoretical discussion. It gets them into the, “What do I do with specific types of users, specific systems in specific use cases and scenarios?” So maybe it’s a way to get out of the analysis paralysis and into something that’s productive and delivering value from day one. Just my perspective on that.
Kevin Brown:
You’re preaching to the choir, Michael. Love it.
Michael Cichon:
All right. Well, listen, thanks for joining this morning. I think that helps out quite a bit. And anything else you want to add about the package before we wrap it up?
Kevin Brown:
No. I’m not going to be the sales guy, but there’s all… You can go to our landing page and see it for yourself because it works.
Michael Cichon:
All right. Well, if folks have any questions, they’ll reach out to you directly. Kevin.brown@1kosmos.com.
Kevin Brown:
Works for me.
Michael Cichon:
All right. Thank you very much. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Kevin Brown:
Thanks, Michael.
